Massage therapist sues his client.
I was really surprised to read that. Lately I've been reading about clients suing their massage therapists mostly on groping charges, but the other way around?! Here's the quote from EURweb.com:
"A massage therapist claims middleweight fighter Bernard Hopkins Jr. skipped out on a bill for more than $35,000 for four months work, according to Philadelphia's Courthouse News Service. Michael Marzulli says Hopkins promised to pay him after he fought Winky Wright in July 2007, but Hopkins fired him after the fight and never paid a dime. Marzulli says Hopkins owes him $35,227.50, plus interest and costs."
But I say good for the therapist. I'm sure we've all given someone the benefit of the doubt when they said they didn't have time to stop at the ATM, only to find that we never heard from them again, let alone received the payment. Of course, I have to add that I've had many more positive experiences, renewing my hope and confidence in the inately good nature of us humans. |
